More than 300 senior enlisted leaders from the Air Force, along with joint and international partner nation equivalents, will converge on the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy for the annual Senior Enlisted Leader Summit Tuesday-Thursday.

The summit provides senior enlisted leaders the opportunity to discuss important issues affecting the U.S. Air Force. During the forum, enlisted leaders share information about specific Air Force programs and the impact Airmen are having on the mission of combatant commands worldwide.

For this year's summit, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force James A. Roy has selected the theme "Deliberately Developing Airmen for Global Response," which focuses on the Air Force priority of partnering with joint and coalition partners to win today's fight.

Senior enlisted leaders will hear addresses from Secretary of the Air Force Michael B. Donley, Chief of Staff of the Air Force General Norton Schwartz, Chief Roy and command chiefs and sergeants major for various Unified Commands. Representatives from twenty partner nations will also be in attendance.

"Having our joint and coalition partners attend and brief will give us a better understanding of how the Air Force fits into the global mission," said Chief Roy.

According to Chief Master Sgt. Brye McMillon, Air University command chief, the summit creates an avenue for senior enlisted leaders to better engage Airmen throughout the force.

"The updates ensure enlisted leaders are prepared to engage with our Airmen, better preparing them to face future challenges, and posture them for success," Chief McMillon said. "Additionally, it provides mentoring opportunities, allowing each of us to walk away better prepared to serve our Airmen."
