The commander of Air University announced consolidation of the Civil Engineering and Services School at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and the Air Force Human Resource Management School at Maxwell into the Force Support Professional Development School, March 17.

Lt. Gen. Allen Peck said integration of the manpower, personnel and services career fields, under the formation of the Force Support Squadron, prompted consolidation of the educational portions of the fields, and the new school will be located at the Ira C. Eaker College for Professional Development at Maxwell.

"This was not an easy decision to make. Both schools do great work and produce excellent results," the general said. "Consolidating these FSS professional continuing education and leadership development courses into a single, integrated professional development school at Eaker will serve in the best interests of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command and the Air University academic programs."

Following transfer of Air Force Institute of Technology assets to Maxwell's Ira C. Eaker College for Professional Development, the new Force Support Professional Development School is scheduled to be stood up Oct. 1 at ECPD.
