Graduation not only represents the successful completion of Squadron Officer School but enables those graduating to become better leaders and the future leaders of the Air Force. Graduation takes place in Polifka and is attended by distinguished guests including Honorary Squadron Commanders as well as family, spouses and children. Graduation is a time to acknowledge the contributions of groups, individuals, and flights for exceptional work throughout their course.
Congratulations to the class of 19G and the flight commanders who were vital to the success of the class sharing their expertise and knowledge on each and every lesson!
19G graduated 521 students across 38 flights. Each flight was composed of thirteen to fourteen Air Force officers including active duty, guard and reservists and Department of Defense civilians who worked together throughout the course. Although the class was here for six and a half weeks their impact is long lasting. These students donated many hours of community services to the following charities and organizations: Lewis Elementary School, Habitat for Humanity, Montgomery Boys and Girls Club, and they donated school supplies to elementary schools impacted by Hurricane Michael. Additionally, the students raised funds and remodeled an SOS Mother's room. Finally, 19G donated over 170 units of blood to the Armed Services Blood Program and the American Red Cross.
Here is a look at the six and a half weeks of 19G:
Good luck to the Class of 19G as you go forth with new relationships that last a lifetime and welcome to the class of 19H.
