The Flight Commander’s Edge is a program established by Air University to support the development of flight-level leadership courses across the Air Force.
Managed by the eSchool of Graduate Professional Military Education, The Flight Commander’s Edge program provides a variety of tools designed to help MAJCOM, NAF, and Wing leadership develop and deploy flight-level leadership courses.
Focusing on both leadership topics and base-specific content, The Flight Commander’s Edge program provides lesson plans that can be executed in the classroom by individuals with little or no teaching experience. Lesson plans and guides provide a discussion- and activity-based “experience” which may be customized and taught by anyone with a minimum amount of preparation.
Content is available for designated MAJCOM, NAF, and Wing-level course directors and facilitators via a dedicated online community. In the community, participants can share information, ask questions, and download both Air University and locally-produced content.

Blue and yellow (stylized gold in this portrayal) are the Air Force Colors.
Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.
Yellow (gold) refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.
The stylized winged propeller denotes the heritage of the Army Air Corps, brought forth into the modern age.
The triad of deltas refer to man-operated weapons and represent a dual purpose:
First, it denotes the "team" philosophy which the flight commander is a key member and leader.
Secondly, it reflects the three domains flight commanders operate in -- air, space, and cyberspace.
The three stars represent the Air Force's cores values of: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do.
The six pointed stars allude to the Air Force competencies of Air and Space Superiority, Global Attack, Rapid Global Mobility, Precision Engagement, Information Superiority, and Agile Combat Support.
The words "confirma turmae profligavere" are Latin and reflect the mission of The Flight Commander's Edge -- to strengthen the squadron.
