Connect to Air University Research


A core function of the Air University Integration Cell is to incentivize Air University research to tackle airpower and national challenges.  To that end, we provide three products:  

  1. Topic Submission Process -- A web-enabled form, currently hosted at Air University, can be used to submit research topics for consideration.  The call for topics is open year round and any individual or organization is welcome to submit topics at any time.  The best time to submit is before early June of each year so we can incorporate it into the AUSIL (below) and disseminate it to our faculty and students as they prepare for the next year's studies.  If you are submitting mid year and require results faster, feel free to contact us at the integration cell so we can explore our options further.
  2.  AU Research Topics List (RTL) -- A categorized listing of research topics and topic sponsors.
  3. Research Grant Program -- A funding line provided by the Air University Commander and President to facilitate Air University research.  Funding is open to all Air University faculty and students (including AFIT, distance learning, ROTC, etc.).  If you or your organization don't fall under the AU umbrella, contact us to see how we can connect to AU research and advance your goals!  Funding is used for anything purchasable using standard Air Force purchasing guidelines.  Typical uses include but are not limited to travel costs, conference attendance, supplies, data purchases or editorial services.
