CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT RAUN M. HOWELL

Chief Master Sergeant Raun M. Howell is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. Air University is the intellectual and leadership-development center for the Air Force and Space Force, providing a full-spectrum of courses that graduate more than 50,000 resident and 120,000 non-resident officers, enlisted and civilian personnel each year to achieve national security objectives. He serves as the adviser to the Air University Commander on all matters affecting the quality, welfare, morale, readiness and leadership of service members assigned to more than 1,300 locations around the world.

CMSgt Howell is a native of Gainesville, Florida, and entered the Air Force in July of 1997. He has held a variety of positions as a personnelist, and has also served as a technical training instructor, Professional Military Education Instructor, and in various Senior Enlisted Leader positions throughout his tenure in the Air Force. He has also served as the Special Advisor and Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 6th Air Refueling Wing, MacDill Air Force Base, FL.
