COLONEL ANDREW C. LOOSER

Col. Andrew C. Looser is the Commandant of Air University’s Global College of Professional Military Education, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The college educates and develops Air Force and Space Force officers and enlisted members, as well as Department of the Air Force civilians, through distance-learning professional military education and the Online Master’s Program. He leads more than 350 personnel, including faculty members with doctoral degrees, research faculty, learning architects, student services professionals and military members representing numerous Air Force specialty codes.

Col. Looser received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Auburn University in 2005. A career munitions maintenance officer, he has served at the squadron, group, joint and combatant command levels. His assignments include command of the 377th Maintenance Squadron at Kirtland AFB, N.M.; service as an armaments and munitions adviser to the Royal Saudi Air Force; and duty as a nuclear current operations officer in the U.S. Strategic Command Global Operations Center. He also served as Director of Inspections, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Prior to his current position, the colonel was the Dean and Vice Commandant, Squadron Officer School, Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
