MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- Personnel from the 42nd Air Base Wing and the Retiree Activities Office are hosting the annual Retiree Appreciation Day event held at the base honor guard hangar, building 842, Nov. 18, 2016, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Approximately 600 to 1,000 veterans and retirees are expected to attend. During the event, attendees will have access to an information fair with representatives from the installation and local community, including the 42nd Medical Group and Veterans Affairs.
Free food and beverages will also be available as well as door prizes.
“While it is important to be looking toward the future of airpower, it is also important to understand and celebrate where we have come from. America and the United States Air Force would not be the pinnacle of airpower we are today without the hard work and determination of the Airman that came before us,” said Capt. Adam McClish, Maxwell Retiree Appreciation Day committee chair.
