AF Sports seeks softball players for training camps, championships Published June 27, 2017 Air Force Services Activity JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas (AFNS) -- The Air Force is looking for men and women softball players to attend trial camps Aug. 31-Sept. 17, 2017, with the potential to compete in the Armed Forces Championships Sept. 18-24 and USA Nationals Softball Championships Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Those interested can download an Air Force Form 303 at and submit it via myPERS no later than July 22. Athletes must have their leadership’s approval to apply. The trial camps and Armed Forces Championships are at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, and the nationals are in Oklahoma City. Continued support of the Air Force Fitness and Sports Program enables the Air Force to build strong, competitive teams who showcase the service at Armed Forces Championships and tournaments, said John Kundinger, Air Force Services Activity acting director of operations.
