Coffee shop celebrates opening on Maxwell

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala --

Maxwell celebrated the grand opening of Rickenbacker’s Touch and Go coffee shop Friday, Jan. 5, 2018.

“Rickenbacker’s is about the experience,” said William Ring, manager of Rickenbacker’s Coffee Shop. “We make this atmosphere fun and we make it energetic in order to create a comforting environment for our customers.”

Along with coffee, they have muffins, cupcakes, bagels, sandwiches and even beer on tap.

The care and detail that they put into their products along with great customer service is what makes this place special, said Chief Master Sgt. Erica Shipp, 42nd Air Base Wing command chief.

They are located behind the University Inn, Bldg. 680, and their hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
