The Fall 2018 Air and Space Power Journal, published by Air University Press, is available at https://www.airuniversity.af.mil/ASPJ//

The feature “Character into Action” describes how certain traits are transmitted through transformational leadership behavior. “Multidomain Observing and Orienting” discusses a more sophisticated approach to multidomain operations in response to today’s increasingly complex battlespace.

Views include lessons from space/cyber operations in “Preparing for Multidomain Warfare” and the need for a thoughtful approach toward ethics in the cyberspace domain in “An Ethical Decision-Making Tool for Offensive Cyberspace Operations.” “The Other Side of the COIN” argues that the Air Force needs to “write its own COIN specific doctrine” to indicate its seriousness about COIN and to ready current and future Airmen for COIN operations.

Also read commentaries about air advising in Afghanistan and the myths and realities of artificial intelligence.

ASPJ is designed to serve as an open forum for the presentation and stimulation of innovative thinking on military doctrine, strategy, force structure, readiness, and other matters of national defense. Please submit articles to aspj@us.af.mil.
