Women's Health Clinic closes Published Sept. 30, 2011 By Kelly Deichert Air University Public Affairs MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- The Women's Health Clinic will close tomorrow as part of 2012 fiscal constraints. "Primary women's health care will be rolled into Family Health," said Maj. Phillip Douglas, 42nd Medical Group practice manager. "If specialty care is needed, patients will be referred to civilian TRICARE-network healthcare providers." Active-duty women must contact their primary care manager for annual exams, Pap test and health concerns. Nonactive-duty women can see their primary care manager or seek care off base. Nonactive-duty women are authorized an annual Pap test at a TRICARE-network gynecologist office without a referral.
