U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Jeremy Unterseher, command chief of Air Combat Command, visited Mountain Home AFB, Feb. 20, 2026, to gain a firsthand look at the 366th Fighter Wing’s daily operations and to interact with Airmen across the wing.

During the visit, Unterseher spoke at an all call, reinforcing ACC’s mission and priorities and emphasizing the 366 FW’s role in delivering combat airpower. He later addressed Airmen and families at the wing’s annual awards ceremony, where he expressed appreciation for their professionalism and commitment to readiness.

“You represent the very best of this wing, Air Combat Command and our Air Force,” Unterseher said. “Thank you for your strength, and to all of the Gunfighters of the 366th Fighter Wing, your ingenuity, your love for each other and your tenacity define warfighting excellence.”

Throughout the day, Unterseher toured multiple units across the installation. At the Logistics Readiness Squadron, he received a briefing on weapon accountability procedures and participated in a timed M4 carbine disassembly. He also visited the survival, evasion, resistance and escape facility, where he participated in parachute operation and handcuff escape demonstrations, and experienced a flight simulator equipped with a reduced oxygen breathing device to simulate hypoxia.

Unterseher continued to the Military and Family Readiness Center to learn about support services available to Airmen and their families. He also toured the human performance gym and received an overview of the operational support team, a mobile group of human-performance professionals that embed within units for three to six months to enhance Airmen readiness.

“Having Chief Unterseher here at Mountain Home Air Force Base is always a great time. Chief doesn’t just sit through briefs — he likes to get a firsthand look at what Gunfighters do,” said Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Rohde, command chief of the 366 FW. “He got to see the discipline, innovation, grit and pride that drive our mission every day. More importantly, we got to show him how we're not just executing today's fight; we're actively advancing ACC priorities and shaping the future of warfighting. We also appreciate him taking the time to deliver a powerful message at the Annual Awards Banquet to recognize the best of the best!"
