Air National Guard aircraft arrive in Poland for Hussar Saber 26-1 Published April 14, 2026 By Senior Master Sgt. Megan Crusher USAFE-AFAFRICA Public Affairs RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- U.S. Air National Guard Airmen and C-130H Hercules aircraft assigned to the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard, arrived at the 33rd Air Base in Powidz, Poland,for exercise Hussar Saber 26-1. Hussar Saber is a bilateral training event focused on enhancing interoperability, readiness, and rapid response capabilities among U.S. and Polish forces. The event is scheduled to run from April 13-24, 2026. The arrival of U.S. Airmen and aircraft highlights the continued partnership between the United States and Poland, underscoring the importance of integrated air and ground operations training in a complex and dynamic training environment. The Hussar Saber exercise series also reinforces the U.S. Air Force’s commitment to strengthening alliances, enhancing operational readiness, and protecting the U.S. homeland from a forward position in Europe.
