A search-and-rescue team with the Florida Air National Guard’s 290th Joint Communications Support Squadron moves into a flood-impacted Florida town to assist with Hurricane Matthew disaster relief efforts, Oct. 7, 2016. During the inaugural MD5 Hackathon held October 14-16 in New York City, technologists from across the country will work together with military and civilian first responders, including the New York Fire Department, to create solutions to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief challenges in dense urban environments.
