Sniper Surveys
Hidden beneath twigs and weeds, an Idaho Army National Guard sniper surveys his surroundings at the Orchard Combat Training Center in Boise, Idaho, June 8, 2018. The job of a sniper requires extensive training, attention to detail and discipline. The Idaho Army National Guard was recently tasked with forming a sniper scout platoon, a first for the 2nd Battalion, 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team. The sniper training coincides with the brigade’s two-week annual training at the center. Air National Guard photo by Air Force Master Sgt. Becky Vanshur
