Operation Raahat
During the 2015 onset of the Saudi intervention in the Yemeni Civil War, the Indian Armed Forces evacuated Indian citizens and foreign nationals from Yemen. The IN began seaborne evacuations on 1 April 2015 from Aden port. The IAF started air evacuations utilizing military and Air India planes on 3 April 2015 from Sana’a. More than 4,640 Indian citizens in Yemen were evacuated along with 960 foreign nationals of 41 countries.
