Air University, Maxwell win prestigious award in education excellence for military-connected children

Maj. Gen. Jeff Hinrichs, mobilization assistant to the commander and president of Air University, presents the 2022 Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence for Outstanding Community Partnership award to Dr. Eric Mackey, Alabama state superintendent of education, during the Alabama State Department of Education board meeting in downtown Montgomery, Ala., Aug. 11, 2022. The award was also presented to the school district superintendents in the River Region. Air University and Maxwell Air Force Base’s public education coalition, the River Region Partnership for Educational Excellence, received the award, which is the Military Child Education Coalition’s highest award.
