The long road home: Putting a name to the fallen

Caskets carrying the remains of unidentified service members from past conflicts await to be carried off a C-17 Globemaster III at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., July 17, 2025. Service members who perform as pallbearers will carry the caskets one-by-one to an awaiting vehicle which will then transport them to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency for analysis.
