Never Forget: Capt. Hanna Born runs 2,977 miles to honor 9/11 victims
From left, retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Dana H. Born, U.S. Air Force Capt. Hanna Born, 23rd Flying Training Squadron instructor pilot and U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Heather Born, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit communications strategy officer, pose for a photo at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium after Heather’s U.S. Naval Academy graduation, May 26, 2023. The Born family shares a deep legacy of service; both daughters were in the Pentagon during the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and later chose to follow their parents into military careers. Hanna is currently honoring the 25th anniversary of the attacks by running 2,977 miles in tribute to the victims. (courtesy photo)
