48th FTS 'Alley Cats' close the book on T-1A Jayhawk era
U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Eddie Altizer, 48th Flying Training Squadron commander, looks back at a T-1A Jayhawk for the final time at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, Nov. 26, 2025. As the commander, Altizer oversaw all Undergraduate Pilot Training and instructor development for the T-1A airframe, which was officially retired from the 48th FTS fleet following this flight.
