Lt. Col. Phillip Bourquin, 99th Flying Training Squadron director of operations, performs an inspection on a T-7A Redhawk at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, May 15, 2026. Along with the squadron commander, Bourquin is the first Air Education and Training Command director of operations to be qualified on the advanced trainer. Their qualification allows the squadron to conduct its own training flights and build the foundation for the T-7A program.
