Welding Fins
Air Force Senior Airman Adam Williams, 33rd Maintenance Squadron metals tech journeyman, welds metal fins onto the base of the blade of the 33rd Fighter Wing's Khobar Towers Memorial sword at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Jan. 21, 2026. The purpose of the fins is to block environmental disruptions, such as wind, from disturbing the flame on the memorial.
