Sons of the Revolution
Members of the Maryland Society, Sons of the American Revolution, color guard post the colors during a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony at the Congressional Cemetery in Washington, Aug. 23, 2026. The ceremony honored members of the D.C. militia who answered the call to defend the nation's capital during the Battle of Bladensburg in 1814.
