TWO-DAY IN-RESIDENCE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT & DISPUTE RESOLUTION COURSE

Synopsis: This course emphasizes negotiation, facilitation, and dispute resolution techniques. Instruction includes Interest-Based Negotiation and Air Force Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) policy and procedures to include self-determination, impartiality, and competence standards. While the Air Force mediation/facilitation model is emphasized, this course defines the students' role not as a mediator but as a facilitator who can promote public confidence in the Air Force dispute resolution processes.

*Full participation is required! Observation only participation may be granted on a case- by- case basis.

Class content includes lectures and interactive small group exercises. Again, full participation is required!

Note: The course will be held on Maxwell AFB, Montgomery AL, Building 803 in Room 76 from 0800 to 1600 USA Central Time for two (2) days. This course is targeted to Air Force Total Force Personnel but is open to all government/federal employees; you must have a government/federal issued email must register. Course registration will close after the first 60 applicants. If you are not stationed at Maxwell AFB, you will have to pay for your travel and lodging expenses.
