Description: As a General/Flag Officer (GOFO) Education Course Director and platform instructor for the Combined Forces Air Component Commander (CFACC) Course, Joint Flag Officer Warfighting Course (JFOWC), Cyberspace Operations Executive Course (COEC) and Senior Joint Information Operations Applications Course (SJIOAC), company grade/field grade officers coordinate all aspects of course design, senior officer student support, logistics, instructional systems design alignment of course objectives with CJCSI 1800.01X Officer PME Policy, and annual planning of $115K fenced AFERB funded flag officer training quotas across five (GOFO) courses. Course Directors must maintain a high degree of professional image, be able to operate efficiently and autonomously with up to 24 general/flag officer students and senior mentors and maintain accountability of classified material in a variety of classroom and other environments. Course Directors may also maintain platform instructor qualification in support of Directorate PCE courses in a variety of areas such as: National Security Strategy; Joint Warfare; Joint Air Operations Plans; Operational Art/Design/Approach; Joint All Domain Operations; Agile Combat Employment; Logistics Planning and Operations; Five Paragraph Mission-Type Orders; and APEX/JOPES. Course Directors regularly interface with all Service General Officer/Flag Officer Management Offices, Joint Staff J7, Combatant Command senior officers, and a variety of guest lecturers and adjunct faculty at the 3 and 4-star level as well as political appointees, ambassadors, and retired senior officials..

Eligibility: Capt [USAF only], Majors [USAF only] and Lieutenant Colonels [USAF only] with an outstanding military record of performance, excellent communication skills, and completed rank appropriate PME (by any method). Operations specialty and recent deployment experience highly desired. Candidates must present a confident, professional image and be able to perform protocol and executive support functions with very little guidance or support.  
Majors [USAF only] and Lieutenant Colonels [USAF only] -  Prior instructor/curriculum development experience is desired. Master’s degree required.

Organizational Mission: The Warfighting Education (WE) Directorate provides focused Professional Continuing Education (PCE) and General/Flag Officer education for the Air Force and Joint Staff. WE plans, develops, integrates and executes PCE courseware oriented toward force generation, deployment, and sustainment (Contingency Wartime Planner Course), Air Component staff planning (Joint Air Operations Planner Course), Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters planning and operations (JTF Staff Basic Course), and tailored support to Numbered Air Force, Component Major Command staffs, Guard/Reserve and Combatant Command staffs through mobile education teams. Additionally, on behalf of the CSAF and CJCS, WE manages and executes five General/Flag Officer courses at the O7 - O9 level.
