WASHINGTON-- Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. traveled to London Sep. 16-17 on a previously planned trip to meet with defense officials, to include U.K. Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Sir Nicholas Carter. Discussions during the visit focused on topics of mutual security interest.
The United Kingdom and United States share a long history of mutual support and cooperation, which are cornerstones of the strong alliance and special relationship between the two nations.
