WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout:
 
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Alhnaity this week during a trip to the CENTCOM area of responsibility.
 
The two leaders discussed the current security environment throughout the Middle East.
 
The U.S. and Jordan share a strong military-to-military relationship as key partners committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.
