WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi today in Israel during a trip to the CENTCOM area of responsibility.
The two leaders discussed the current security environment throughout the Middle East.
Gen. Milley also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Minister of Defense and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz and the Director of the Mossad, Mr. Yossi Cohen.
The U.S. and Israel enjoy a strong military-to-military relationship as key partners committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.
