International graduates are coming back to the Air University campus soon to share thoughts and perspectives on a variety of military topics during an inaugural event designed specifically for enhancing partnerships and maintaining the leading edge in global competition.

The former international military students, graduates of one or more of Air University’s officer and enlisted professional military education programs, will be attending the Air University International Alumni of Distinction Seminar, March 7-9, 2023.

“In partnership with the Department of State, this inaugural IADS is another example of Air University’s growing contribution to the Air Force chief of staff’s ‘integrated by design’ efforts with our partners and allies,” said Col. Alex Ganster, commandant, International Officer School, and director, AU International Affairs.

The event will be attended by 31 senior officer and enlisted leaders who are AU international alumni representing 25 countries around the globe.  Partners and allies from every U.S. geographic combatant command will attend the seminar, which will enhance partner capacity and strategic relationship building.

Guest speakers and presenters will be leading discussions on a wide range of topics, such as participation of women in peace and security, enlisted force development and empowerment and integrated by design concepts. These concepts include agile combat employment, joint all-domain command and control, interoperability and information sharing.

“The U.S. will benefit from the perspectives of these senior leaders, within the framework of shared strategic challenges that require interdependent solutions driven by security cooperation and strategic partnerships,” said Ganster.
