Maxwell service members and families have become followers of technology such as Facebook to link into the base and activities, but sometimes keeping all the different event calendars and information straight can be challenging.

Recently, the Air University Public Affairs office introduced the My MC2 application to the base's official Facebook site.

My MC2 is a mobile application that conveniently centralizes installation community events, organizations and services. Whether looking for events happening today or in the future the Maxwell My MC2 calendar centrally locates those events based on keyword searching.

"If you're looking for things to do on Maxwell, My MC2 is going to make those things much easier to find because it consolidates those events into one place," said Air University Public Affairs Specialist Jessica Casserly. "It is a real time saving device for the Wings' 2,100 Facebook fans. Currently, Facebook does not allow the user to search events by date or topic, for instance a kid-friendly event this Saturday, without going to each unit page. My MC2 application does all the work for the user."

My MC2 provides the user a precise by date list and hosting organization of interest. In addition, Maxwell's My MC2 can provide contact information for each activity to answer any questions.

The My MC2 application is accessible by navigating to a device's application store, searching for "MyMC2," and choosing Maxwell Air Force Base.
