Cal Guard troops train up and head out to fight raging wildfires

California National Guard Soldiers receive instruction from CAL FIRE firefighters during hand crew training Sept. 6, 2017 at Camp Roberts. The troops headed out Sept. 7 to the Salmon-August Complex Fire near Etna, California, the Mission Fire, near Oakhurst, California, and wherever else needed. More National Guard activity is expected Oct. 10, 2017, to combat fires that are ravaging wine country and elsewhere.
