Quantum information. Quantum entanglement is a feature of quantum theory in which particles such as electrons interact with each other and then move apart yet maintain some sort of connection. When one set reacts to a stimulus, the other set reacts instantaneously in the same way, no matter how far apart they have become. The passage of information from one set to another appears to be independent of both space and time.
