Nuclear Sustainment: Minuteman III

ICBM support equipment, supply sustainment, and future acquisitions have failed to effectively sustain the Minuteman III weapon system.
1. Transporter Erector Replacement Program - years being schedule and failed on first contact, currently back at stop use.
2. New guided missile maintenance platforms (GMMP) were sent to missile wings and discovered not to meet specifications, needing to be returned for manufacture. Old GMMP parts were not maintained, i.e. worm gear assembly and direct motor are not available.
3. Motor generators are not available in supply system.
4. Supply system was not responsive to Weapon System Processor demand. Field units were below Minimum Essential Equipment Levels for over 2 years. It took Non-Mission Capable Launch Control Centers to energize the system.
What institutional changes (sustainment) are needed to maintain Minuteman III to 2052?
