Lt Col Rachel E. Seablom is a Professor of Strategy and Strategic studies at the School for Advanced Air and Space Studies, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. As a member of the faculty, she designs and delivers graduate courses in theory, policy, and history; advises theses; and mentors a diverse cohort of 45 students, including joint/international partners.
Lt Col Seablom graduated from Princeton University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and commissioned through Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 485 at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.. After commissioning, she attended the Air Force Officer Intelligence Course at Goodfellow AFB, Texas. Upon completion, she was assigned to the Air Force Special Operations Command Intelligence Officer Intern Program and was attached to the 720th Special Tactics Group, Hurlburt Field, Fla., where she provided intelligence support to the Special Tactics mission. In 2008, she was selected for a Data Masked assignment as the Intelligence Flight Commander. In 2011, she moved to the 2d Airlift Squadron, Pope Field, N.C., where she was the Chief of Intelligence and supported C-130 mobility operations. Following that assignment, Lt Col Seablom was the Chief of Intelligence at a Data Masked unit. In 2016, she moved to Maxwell AFB, Alabama, where she taught at Officer Training School and Squadron Officer School and served as the Executive Officer to the Air University Command and President.
Lt Col Seablom has been deployed six times in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and other contingency operations.
