In Their Own Words: 2020 Science of Military Strategy

      The “In Their Own Words” series is dedicated to translations of Chinese documents in order to help non-Mandarin speaking audiences access and understand Chinese thinking. In the “In Their Own Words” series, CASI aims to provide Chinese texts that illustrate thoughtful, clearly articulated, authoritative foreign perspectives on approaches to warfare at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

     The 2020 Science of Military Strategy is a capstone document on PRC’s current military strategy. The text was prepared by the PLA National Defense University.

    This particular translation was done through the automated CASI translation engine.  While we tried to ensure that this is an accurate and readable translation, we expect there to be inconsistencies and errors. We welcome any feedback as we work to improve the machine assisted translation process.
