  • 908th Airlift Wing - August 2022 in review

    August, 2022 was a busy month for the 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.It started with the 30-year anniversary of the 908th Operation Support Squadron, constituted on August 1, 1992.

  • Global College of PME now taking new officer distance learning enrollments

    The distance learning programs for Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College have been closed for enrollments and graduations since July 7, 2022, in support of the Air University-wide transition to the new Learner Environment Design-Student Information System.

  • Air University space chair awarded inaugural Colombian medal

    Space Force Col. Galen Ojala and 10 others were presented the award by President Iván Duque Márquez during a ceremony July 28, 2022. The ceremony also marked the opening of the country’s space operations center on the grounds of the Colombian Air Force Academy in Cali, Colombia.

  • DOD releases first department-wide social media policy 

    The Defense Department released a policy that spells out how DOD military and civilian personnel should use official social media accounts to best advance the mission of the U.S. military and further instill trust in the credibility of the DOD.

  • 908 SFS aims for success

    Members of the 908th Security Forces Squadron traveled to Fort Rucker, Alabama, Aug. 6, 2022, to receive their heavy weapons training and qualifications. Before they could hit the road to Fort Rucker, the defenders had to receive safety and handling briefings during the July Unit Training Assembly.
