Air University and the Community College of the Air Force have regained the ability to review degree progress and graduate students, launching the new AU Student Information System, June 20, 2023.

The system will enable CCAF to dramatically improve operations and response times for graduating students; however, the SIS is not yet completely automated and currently requires a manual process to ensure 100% accuracy.

“In July, we expect automated processes to assess and graduate students and plans are in place to quickly eliminate the backlog of student records and requests for documentation,” Lt. Gen. Andrea Tullos, AU commander and president said. “The pending enhancements will enable CCAF to dramatically improve academic operations and reduce response times to graduate students and provide transcripts.”

Additionally, installation education offices have regained the ability to review student records to provide advice and will receive continuous training and additional support to gain competence and confidence in the new system.

As the AU SIS comes online, students should start to see their updated degree program report and be able to apply for graduation. Updated transcripts will become available as information begins to flow from the Military Personnel Data System.

“It may take a few weeks for MilPDS information to update,” Col. Anthony Babcock, Barnes Center for Enlisted Education commander, said. “A lot of students have been waiting to graduate, and a lot of records need updating.”

The migration of CCAF data to the AU SIS began on Sept. 28, 2022. More than 260,000 active student records transferred to the new system.
