LeMay Center - PCE Curriculum Manager (82A) Location: Maxwell AFB, AL 36112-6426 Tour Length: 3 years Description: As Curriculum Manager for Contingency Wartime Planning Course (CWPC), Joint Air Operations Planning Course (JAOPC) and JTF Staff Basic Course at Shaw AFB, officers coordinate non-PME curriculum development to meet Doctrine Outreach, International Officer Support, and Warfighting Headquarters tailored academic support across multiple PCE courses and venues. The candidate leads implementation of Student Information Systems (SIS) and application of the Student-Centered Adult Learning Environment (SCALE) transition project for Air University, to include classroom design, SIS technology on-boarding, virtual Registrar, and AFERB funding coordination across all MAJCOMS and the Guard/Reserve. Leads team that provides expertise in the design, development, and execution of academic curriculum surveys; compiles data collected for surveys and creates summary reports. Ensures quality of products and reports. Develops support strategies for WE-assigned faculty and Subject Matter Experts to support external requests for topical education briefs, Course instruction, and Theater Immersion Academics for Joint Task Force headquarters staffs (and deployers) in support of AEF aligned required training (“Line Items”). Curriculum Managers may also be Instructor qualified in one or more PCE courses as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following fields: Multi-Domain Command & Control, Information Operations, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Agile Combat Support, Active Base Defense, Logistics Operations and DRRS, APEX/JOPES, National Security Strategy, Joint Warfare, and Air Campaign Planning. Curriculum Manager will also be Instructor qualified. Eligibility: (Senior) Captains through Lieutenant Colonels [USAF only] with an outstanding military record of performance, excellent communication skills, and completed PME commensurate with rank (by any method). Recent joint, JTF, or deployed staff experience within previous 36 months and demonstrated proficiency with Joint Planning Process (JP 5.0) or Air Operations planning (JOPP-A) highly desired. Prior AFFOR or CAOC/AOC/JOC experience and instructor/curriculum development experience is desired. Master’s degree not required but beneficial to research. WE plans, develops, integrates and executes PCE courseware oriented on force generation and deployment (Contingency Wartime Planner Course), Air Component staff planning (Joint Air Operations Planner Course), Joint Task Force (JTF) staff officer and JTF Headquarters planning and operations courses (JTF Staff Basic Course), and tailored support to Numbered Air Force and Component Major Command staff development during IOC and FOC training toward GFMAP alignment as a JTF Headquarters (capable) deployable unit. Additionally, on behalf of the CSAF and CJCS, WE manages five Flag Officer PME courses at the O7-O9 level.
