Political-Military Affairs Strategist (PAS)

PAS supplements the ACSC core curriculum by providing a broad knowledge of political-military affairs through SAF/IA-sponsored lectures and internationally, joint, and politically-focused electives. Graduates earn the 16P secondary AFSC and follow-on to a command position or a PAS position on a COCOM/HQ/MAJCOM/ international/interagency staff. Active duty officers are selected for PAS via the IDE Designation Board process, AFRC/ANG officers may apply through their component’s PAS representatives. PAS selectees may also apply for the Joint All Domain Strategist (JADS) concentration. Please direct questions to
