Synopsis: This course emphasizes negotiation, facilitation, and dispute resolution techniques. Instruction includes Interest-Based Negotiation and Air Force Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) policy and procedures to include self-determination, impartiality, and competence standards. While the Air Force mediation/facilitation model is emphasized, this course defines the students' role not as a mediator but as a facilitator who can promote public confidence in the Air Force dispute resolution processes.
*Full participation is required! Observation only participation may be granted on a case- by- case basis.
TDY in place/ telework recommended. We also highly recommend accessing this course through a non-NIPR device, on personal WIFI. Functioning camera and microphone is a must.
