Lt Col Jeremy Miller serves as the Deputy Department Chair of the Leadership Department, overseeing faculty, curriculum development, and instruction for 24 courses serving 35,000 students annually. He previously directed Manpower and Personnel for Air University, managing personnel support for over 2,300 members across five Centers and the 42nd Air Base Wing. Lt Col Miller handled 600 special utilization and rated positions, supervised senior-officer matters for 260 personnel, and ensured alignment with Air University’s mission. As commander of the 49th Force Support Squadron, he led 484 personnel supporting F-16 and MQ-9 training missions and provided critical support to the 635th Materiel Maintenance and 704th Test Groups. He managed a $33 million civilian pay budget, $7.4 million in non-appropriated funds, and $3.1 million in appropriated funds, optimizing resources to enhance mission readiness. He also oversaw base operations during Operation Allies Welcome, facilitating the transition of 7,000 Afghan refugees and 1,000 Task Force personnel. His staff experience includes leadership roles at Air Force Global Strike Command, where he led Personnel programs and instructed the Leadership Enhancement Course in support of leadership development and strategic personnel initiatives.
