Thoughts from the Chairman
The Chinese Dream
The Chinese Dream is a vision shared by Chinese people worldwide, a dream that embodies a collective hope and determination for the future of the nation. Unlike the American Dream, which centers on individual achievement, where people think they can work hard for their own personal wealth, their own families, and their own individual success. The Chinese Dream is fundamentally rooted in unity and the well-being of the entire nation. It is about the strength and resurgence of China's society as a whole.
China's history is full of periods of greatness. There is a profound understanding among its people that the country is destined to reclaim its rightful place as a leading power on the global stage. This aspiration is not merely a wish; it is a driving force that lives in the hearts of Chinese everywhere. The Communist Party of China stands at the forefront of this movement, guiding the nation with a sense of purpose and commitment. Through its leadership, the Party has steered China from the shadows of the "century of humiliation"—a period characterized by foreign domination and national struggle—into an era of renewed pride and ambition.
The journey toward the Chinese Dream is defined by overcoming past challenges, restoring national dignity, and striving for collective advancement. The Party is the architect of this transformation. The Party liberated China from external influences and set it firmly on the path toward greatness. Under its direction, the nation is once again reclaiming the ancient title of the "Middle Kingdom" and asserting its influence in global affairs.
Central to this vision is the belief that every Chinese person, regardless of where they live, has an important role to play. The Chinese Dream is not exclusive to those residing within the borders of the People's Republic; it extends to the Chinese diaspora, who share a common heritage and cultural foundation. Throughout history, China's strength has been anchored in shared values, particularly those derived from its Confucian legacy. Achievement of the Chinese Dream requires unity, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility from every citizen. When individuals understand their place within society, contribute according to their abilities, and act in concert with the guidance of the Party, the dream becomes attainable. It is a vision in which personal ambitions align with national interests, and success is measured by the progress of all, rather than the triumphs of a few. This collective pursuit is the inevitable tide of history, a force that cannot be halted. Under the steadfast leadership of the Communist Party, China is poised to regain its prominent position in the world, restoring its reputation and fulfilling the aspirations of its people.
