This paper is one of four papers written for the China Aerospace Studies Institute (CASI) 2026 Biennial Conference panel on the “People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA’s) Arms’ Tactical Support to Joint Warfighting” examining the tactical role of the PLA Aerospace Force, Cyberspace Force, Information Support Force, and Joint Logistics Support Force. This paper reviews the PLA Aerospace Force (ASF). The panel participants’ focus on tactical support to PLA Theater Commands is intended to deepen analysis on each branch’s deployment with PLA services to enable fires and maneuver for joint warfighting.
