Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., spoke with French Chief of Defence Staff Gen. François Lecointre today.

The two military leaders discussed the current security environment in the Middle East.

The long-standing alliance between the U.S. and French militaries plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe and other regions around the world.
