2016 Gathering of Eagles
Retired General Charles B. Boyed, 2016 Gathering of Eagles honoree, shares what he underwent with Command and Staff College students as a prisoner of war at the Hanoi Hilton, during the ACSC’s 2016 Gathering of Eagles event, June 2, 2016, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. After receiving a direct hit from an enemy fire, he ejected over North Vietnam and was captured; he spent 2,488 days in captivity before he was released.
