Education Support Squadron – Chief, Innovation and Technology (81T0) Locations: Maxwell AFB, Montgomery AL 36112-6426 Tour Length: 3 years Description: Manages integrating technology into the education and operations processes within the Officer Professional Military Education (OPME) Schools and Academic Centers. Develops and executes long-range plans for technology within the OPME Schools and coordinates these plans with Air University and higher headquarters. Officer should have experience in developing, using, and operating IT systems with a strong interest in applying technology to education. Monitors existing and future technologies and advocates candidates for acquisition and sharing. Successful candidates should be able to mentor members of the OPME Schools and Academic Centers in using educational technology and online capabilities. Eligibility: Minimum grade Major. [USAF only] Desired – Grade appropriate PME complete, IT Equipment Custodian Experience; Project Management Experience; an understanding of basic cyber security practices.
