Kigembe is the Senior Enlisted Leader, S6 Directorate, Space Systems Command at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. Space Systems Command is the U.S. Space Force field command responsible for acquiring, developing, and delivering resilient capabilities to outpace emerging threats and protect our Nation’s strategic advantage in, from, and to space. In this capacity, he serves as the principal advisor to the Command’s Senior Cyber Officer and supervises the directorate’s manning, operations, and administrative processes, encompassing an 85-member team of military, civilians, and contractors across various cyber specialties, providing Cybersecurity, Digital Engineering, Cyber Strategy, Technology Insertion, and Roadmap Execution for Space Systems Command and the United States Space Force. Chief Kigembe was born in Dar Es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, Africa. His home of record is Hagerstown, Maryland. He entered the Air Force in November 2008 as a Cable and Antenna Maintenance Systems Technician. His Air Force background includes various Cyberspace experiences and leadership roles in Cuba, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom, directly supporting key operations and mission sets.
