The Air Force Culture and Language Center is launching a new program to showcase the Center’s products, innovative teaching and learning strategies, and tactics developed to leverage language and cultural expertise in a global mission for enhancing partner interoperability and adversary understanding.

The program, called “AFCLC TV,” is live conversations produced on AFCLC’s Facebook channel (@AirForceCultureandLanguageCenter) monthly. Some topics will include the Language Enabled Airman Program, AFCLC’s education on-demand tactics with eMentor and Language Intensive Training Events, the General Officer Pre-deployment Acculturation Courses, cultural conversations with AFCLC’s faculty, information about upcoming educational courses, and the newly expanded Culture App. The live interview format also allows having conversations with experts outside of AFCLC.

“I’m honored to be the first guest on AFCLC TV to discuss our vision, which is ‘The Air Force’s Global Classroom.’ That simple moniker gives us focus on our primary purpose of educating Airmen for global partner interoperability and adversary understanding through language, region and culture education,” said AFCLC Director Howard Ward. “This is also the perfect opportunity to discuss AFCLC’s initiatives to fulfill Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown’s ‘Accelerate Change or Lose’ Orders. We have a lot to talk about, and we can’t wait to share them with our audience!”

Ward will be the first guest on AFCLC TV on AFCLC’s Facebook page on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 1300 Central Time. Please observe the following rules to participate in AFCLC TV:
• Maintain principles and standards of professional behavior and communication
• Mute mics while others are speaking
• Hold questions until the end of the interview; use the chat feature to submit your questions to the briefer at that time
• Follow proper OPSEC procedures/guidance and remain cognizant that Facebook is an unclassified medium
