Eligibility Info
Cadets
  • USAF and USSF officer candidate seniors commissioning in the 2026 calendar year via the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFROTC) or the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) may apply.
  • Second Lieutenants who commissioned via AFROTC during the 2025 calendar year and who will not have entered active duty as of 7 April 2026.

Minimum Time in Service (TIS) No minimum TIS required N/A

Remaining TIS Applicants must not have a pending separation or retirement
Technical Training Completion of 5-Skill Level and Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) requirements N/A
AFSC Exclusions 1N3 and 1A8X1 career fields 16F/16Z Foreign Area Officers

AFROTC applicants will need to download the Cadet application located here.
To safeguard Personal Identifying Information (PII), AFROTC applicants shall provide their complete application to a detachment staff or cadre member for submission via DoD SAFE (https://safe.apps.mil/) to AFCLC.LEAP.Selection@us.af.mil.
USAFA and AFROTC cadets with Common Access Card (CAC) credentials must submit applications through LEaDeR at https://leader.cce.af.mil.
